Katie Sluss is a Minnesota-based artist whose work draws upon her childhood experience with undiagnosed vesicoureteral reflux. Her work opens a conversation on the topic of medical trauma and sheds light on the isolating experience of navigating the medical system and living with health complications. Sluss’ practice also explores pop culture as a form of comfort and recontextualizes popular media through the lens of fine art. Sluss graduated from Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2022, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
